The published config loaded opencode-claude-auth@2.0.0 and the onboarding docs instructed a new user to install it in five places (PAUL-EMAIL.md:100,103, PAUL-GETTING-STARTED.md:168,171,285).

That guidance is wrong:

  • OpenCode stopped bundling Claude Pro/Max connectors in 1.3.0.
  • OpenCode's provider documentation states that Anthropic explicitly prohibits subscription auth outside Anthropic's own clients.
  • The plugin conflicts with API-key and proxy-key authentication rather than falling back to it, so following the guide as written breaks Anthropic access instead of enabling it.

Changes:

  • Removed the plugin from opencode.jsonc, with a comment recording why so it is not re-added.
  • Rewrote the auth path in README.md, PAUL-GETTING-STARTED.md, and PAUL-EMAIL.md to use /connect with an Anthropic API key.
  • Noted that Anthropic models are optional and Kimi alone is enough to complete the guide.
  • Fixed the section 7 troubleshooting step, which told the reader to re-run claude to refresh a login that is no longer used.

Docs and one config line only. No credential material in the diff.

The published config loaded opencode-claude-auth@2.0.0 and the onboarding docs
told a new user to install it in five places. OpenCode stopped bundling Claude
Pro/Max connectors in 1.3.0 and its provider documentation states that Anthropic
explicitly prohibits subscription auth outside Anthropic's own clients. The
plugin also conflicts with API-key and proxy-key authentication rather than
falling back to it, so following the guide as written broke Anthropic access.

Removed the plugin from the config and rewrote the auth path in README,
PAUL-GETTING-STARTED, and PAUL-EMAIL to use /connect with an Anthropic API key,
noting that Anthropic models are optional and Kimi alone is enough to complete
the guide.
